| Rome's famous Piazzas | “Rome's famous Piazzas” tour will begin at the heart of the ancient city, at Piazza del Campidoglio just below is Piazza Venezia, which peers onto the colossal state monument, Vittorio Emanuele, restructured by Mussolini. | Cerveteri and Tarquinia | Two nearby ancient towns well worth visiting are the Etruscan settlements found in modern-day Cerveteri and Tarquinia, just 45 minutes north of Rome along Italy’s most ancient highway, the Via Aurelia. We will take you to Cerveteri’s medieval fortified borgo, the Castle and La Rocca.
